Dual Tasking is performing a cognitive challenge and a physical challenge simultaneously.
Of course, this should be programmed for YOU – your fitness level, any limitations etc.
Here are the 4 domains when programming cognitive/motor challenges for clients:
1. COGNITIVE – A THINKING TASK
2. MANUAL – AN ADDITIONAL MOTOR TASK
3. AUDITORY – USING AUDITORY CUES, DISTRACTIONS OR INSTRUCTIONS
4. VISUAL – USING VISUAL CUES, DISTRACTIONS OR INSTRUCTIONS
